Annavaram Gas CylenderAnnavaram, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh: The mountain on which  Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple is located is in news today (13-6-2015). Big explosion in cookhouse took place this morning. Annavaram is the city famous for Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple. Gas cylinder explosion took place in Annavaram Temple’s Prasam Kitchen. Bhutadi is the place where wheat flour prasad is prepared at Annavaram. Two cooks were burnt severely in this big fire accident. They were moved to hospital for treatment. Two buildings (Annadanam and Prasadam rooms) are collapsed in this incidence.

Annavaram is one among the holy places for Hindus. A popular temple of Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy is located on mountain. Every year many people come for worshiping god. As a famous temple, it is rush too. This is considered 2nd popular worshiping temple next to Tirupati in the state. Kalyanam (Marriage), in May month and Devi navratri are the two famous festivals celebrated grandly in this holy place.  Other festivals tht are celebrated are Swayamvara Vardhanti of Sraavana Suddha Ekadashi Day, Srirama Kalyana, Prabha Utsavam, Kanakadurga Yatra, Teppa Utsavam and Jalatoranam. Annavaram Fire Accident in Kitchen room

Fire accident in Annavaram is big accident that ever happened in this place. Pilgrims are not effected due to this fire accident as this place is a bit far from the accident location. Reasons for the accident are yet to be known. As there was no fire engine facility in this place, fire engines from Prattipadu has reached to location to control the fire.
