Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage & Cotton Museum:

 Sir Arthur Cotton was a British general and irrigation engineer who built a barrage across river Godavari in Dowleswaram. This barrage provides water for agriculture to both East and West Godavari districts.

The Sir Arthur Cotton Museum located at Dowleswaram was developed by the then chief engineer P Madan Gopal which has pictures describing the working of the dam and a display of the tools used during its construction. There is a statue of Sir Arthur Cotton in the village.

 Rallabandi Subbarao Govt Museum

Rallabandi Subbarao Government Museum:

Rallabandi Subbarao Government Museum was established in 1967 located on a canal section of the river on the outskirts of Rajahmundry. It displays the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh where it houses a rich and varied selection of artifacts including sculptures, inscriptions, palm leaf manuscripts and coins.

Damerla Rama Rao Memorial Art Gallery:

It is established in 1957 by Varada Venkata Rathnam, the Damerla Rama Rao Memorial Art Gallery holds a number of pieces made famous by the late artist situated near Godavari station. He broke the shackles of contemporary orthodox society by using nude models. His paintings became particularly popular, and he won prizes in Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta as well as London and Toronto. His paintings were popular with the viceroy’s, to whom he sold many paintings.
